Hiring new employees has always been stressful for me — it’s like placing your baby in the arms of a child. I have had some fantastic gamemasters since opening over a year ago and… I have not followed my instinct on others and suffered the consequences of those hiring mistakes.

Being a gamemaster is fun! It is also necessary to be focused, engaging and able to reset the room without any mistakes (that is by far the most challenging and necessary for a great and consistent customer experience).

While training a new GM today we were watching a team really struggle in our Wild West Bank Robbery. When I told her that this is sometimes the hardest part, having to just stand by even though they’re on the wrong track and hope they figure it out.

Her reply….. “That must be how God feels sometimes.” She’s a keeper! LOL.
